LESSON PLANS
Using technology in literacy instruction is new to everyone. Some teachers are pioneers in this area and are willing to share what works. In order to recognize these teachers the RTEACHER Discussion List created an award. It is called the Miss Rumphius Award.

Miss Rumphius

Award Winners

It was named after a book by Barbara Cooney about a woman who planted lupins to make the world a more beautiful place. The seeds that she planted spread and beautiful lupins came up as an evidence of her effort. Sharing good technology lesson plans sometimes has unforseen consequences and has been called the Miss Rumphius Effect.
