WebQuests are a structured way for students to use the World Wide Web for constructing learning. Teachers all over are designing these lessons with ties to curricular standards.

Bernie Dodge and Tom March were working together in San Diego, California when they came upon this idea. It caught on with teachers because WebQuests start with curriculum and find meaningful ways to use technology.

If you want to learn to create WebQuests, find a rubric for evaluating them, or just see a list of WebQuests that has been created you can go to:

The WebQuest Site

http://edweb.sdsu.edu/webquest/webquest.html or

Ozline-Webquests for learning

http://www.ozline.com/webquests/

There are many lists of WebQuests online. A search for the word "webquest" in Yahoo is a good start in finding them.

I have created some WebQuests that I would love to share. If you use them please let me know!

If you use any of these webquests with your class will you do me the favor of letting me know.  Negative or positive evaluations are welcome!  janice@more.net
